Our History In Brief
In 1979—when interview sheets were still manually prepared and sent to
service bureaus to be input into mainframe computers and before the World Wide
Web and Microsoft® Windows® 1.0 were in existence—Larry Beach
established Creative Solutions, Inc. His
vision was to develop advanced tax and accounting software to help accountants
increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability—and provide excellent
knowledgeable customer service. Creative Solutions, Inc. sold the first client
write-up system in November that year.
In the 29 years since Larry Beach founded Creative Solutions—now part of
Thomson Reuters—we have developed a complete line of tax and
accounting software to handle all your needs from write-ups to engagements and
from payroll to client bookkeeping. We pride ourselves on working only to meet
the needs of practicing accountants and tax professionals. We've even developed
web services that are specifically designed to help accountants better serve
their clients.
The Power of Integration
Product integration was always a part of our vision. It was never a matter of
"if" or "can we do it?" Rather it was a matter of "when" and "how do we make it
happen?" Today, Thomson Reuters offers the most comprehensive line
of seamlessly integrated software available to accounting professionals.
Looking Forward
In 1980, Creative Solutions products operated only on the market-leading
Radio Shack computers. Today, our products run efficiently on a many types of
computers purchased at a variety of stores. Thomson Reuters
software and web services are used by more than 50,000 professional firms
nationwide. Virtual Office CS, which offers web-based delivery of a firm's
software, has even allowed our users to expand their practices geographically
without building branch offices.
